         Up on Angel Island, Knuckles The Echidna is gaurding the Master Emerald as always. He studies his surroundings always ready to jump into action when something comes near. The Master Emerald glows a light green color every now and then. Down on Mobius Sonic The Hedgehog is being chased by Amy Rose. Amy keeps calling out to him but he ignores her and keeps going.

Amy: SONIC WAIT!!

Sonic: *runs at full speed*

Amy: *tries to run faster but falls to her knees* SONIC WAIT!!!!!!

   Sonic was already long gone and Amy tried to hold back her tears. She clutched something in her hand. Something for Sonic to show how much she cares about him. Amy got up still trying to hold back tears and ran all the way home. While running, she passes Cream The Rabbit and her friend Cheese the Chao. Before Cream could say anything Amy ran into her house and up to her room. She sat on her bed and cried. She threw the gift she had for Sonic at the wall and it broke.

   Five hours go by....

     Amy sat on her bed, with tears flowing down her muzzle. She got up and grabbed the Sonic plushie she had on her bed and threw it away.

Amy: I'm done with Sonic....I know he saved me a lot from EggMan but he's a jerk when it comes to understanding a girl's heart...

   Amy got rid of everything that had Sonic on them. She wiped her tears away and climbed into bed. She went to sleep.

(The Next Day)


    Amy was outside, she was sitting down near a cherry blossom tree holding all kinds of flowers in her hands. She looked up and only saw Angel Island floating up above. She could easily see Knuckles standing next to the Master Emerald. She looked back down and started picking off the pedals of one flower.
     Knuckles looked down at Mobius looking at the landscape and his eyes caught on Amy.

Knuckles: *in head- What is that girl up to this time? I'm surprised she isn't chasing Sonic.*

    Knuckles kept staring at Amy. He saw the expression on her face, which was sad. Knuckles never saw Amy sad before. Something kept telling him to go talk to her, to cheer her up. Knuckles tried to ignore the feeling but he couldn't. He picked up the Master Emerald and hid it in a underground den. He covered the den making it look like a pile of rocks.

Knuckles: If I'm going down there, I'm not leaving the Master Emerald out where that Batty Rouge can't get it. -_-'

    Knuckles got up and went to the edge of the Island. He jumped off and glided to Mobius. When he was close, he landed on his feet near Amy. Amy didn't notice him, she kept picking the pedals off the flower. Knuckles got on his knees and put his hand on her shoulder. Amy startled a little and turned and meet Knuckles in the eyes.

Knuckles: Amy...what's the matter?

Amy: Nothing Knuckles....nothing is wrong.

Knuckles: Amy I know something is wrong just tell me.

So Amy explained to him what happened the day before. While they were talking Sonic was by with Tails.  Tails spotted them when him and Sonic came around the corner.

Tails: Sonic Look! *points to Knuckles and Amy talking*

  Sonic's eyes flared up with range, thinking they were on a date. Sonic actually liked Amy but he always ran away from her.

Sonic: *in head- Amy is my girl!!*

   Tails saw how angry Sonic was and tried to hold him back from going on a rampage. Amy had already finished telling Knuckles what happened.

Knuckles: Sonic...the same jerk hedgehog as usual.

Amy:......

     Knuckles wanted to hug her to help her feel comfortable. He doesn't know what she'd do but he went along with it.

Knuckles: *hugs her*

Amy: *blush* Knuckles.....*in head- He's never hugged anyone....*

  Amy wrapped her arms around him and hugged back. His fur was so warm and soft. She realized how fit he was with his arm muscles. Knuckles was smiling while hugging Amy. Her fur was warm and soft too. Her quills weren't sharp at all. He could smell the sweet smelling shampoo she uses. It smelled fruity.

Sonic was furious and Tails couldn't hold him back. Sonic stomped all the way over and split them apart from the hug.

Sonic: WHAT DO YOU THINK YOUR DOING HUGGING MY GIRL??!!

Amy: His girl????

Knuckles: I"M ONLY CHEERING HER UP!!

Sonic and Knuckles started arguing and Amy was confused.

Amy: *in head: Sonic doesn't even like me... why would he say I'm his girl???*

   Amy got mad and got into the arguement.

Amy: ENOUGH!!! Sonic I'm NOT your girl!!! You always ran away from me! You left me crying!!! You never cared!! YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND A GIRL'S HEART!!!!

  Amy slapped him after she finished. Sonic was shocked at what she said. The red hand mark on his muzzle hurt from what she said. Sonic took off at full speed and disappeared. Tails took off to find him. Amy tried to hold back tears but she couldn't. Before she could even shed one tear, Knuckles hugged her. He used one hand to stroke her quills gently. Amy looked up at Knuckles and he was giving her a peacful look. Amy placed her head on his chest. She could hear his heart beat which made her smile.

(Later)

  Amy was at home. Knuckles dropped her off and he took off to Angel Island. Amy couldn't get her mind off Knuckles. He was so nice to her. Very caring as well. Amy thought of Knuckles all night. Its the same for Knuckles, he couldn't get his mind off Amy at all. He thought of her smile, her eyes and her personality.

Knuckles: *sigh* What is this feeling I have for Amy? Her smile is so.....cute. She's too cute. Well I do know that Batty Rouge likes me but it'll never work. If I go somewhere and come back she'll probably be wearing jewelry with bits of the Master Emerald on them. I can't let her do that. She's pretty much a pain any way...but Amy...she's so sweet and kind....*sigh* I think.....I think I love her....

Knuckles was convinced through the night that he loves Amy. He's also happy he doesn't have any competiton.

(Next Morning)

  Amy was in her room making something for Knuckles it was the same thing she made for Sonic. A necklace with Knuckles' symbol on it. Amy had a necklace with her symbol on it too.

Knuckles hid the Master Emerald again and went to a rose bush. He took a dozen roses from the bush and cut off the thorns. He held onto the roses tightly and jumped off Angel Island and glided to Mobius.

   Amy was walking around all happy and smiling. She looked up at the sky and saw Knuckles gliding over. She'd clutched the necklace in her hand. Knuckles landed on his feet in front of Amy and smiled.

Knuckles: Hey Amy.

Amy: Hi Knuckles..*blush*

Knuckles held out the roses he picked for her.

Amy: Oh Knuckles they're beautiful ^^ Thank you

Knuckles: No problem Amy.

Amy held out the necklace for him.

Knuckles: Wow...Amy thanks

Amy: *blush*

Knuckles put the necklace on and both of them took a walk around and Cream noticed them walking,talking and laughing.

Vanilla: Awww..thats so sweet.

Cream: They look cute together don't they Cheese?

Cheese: Chao chao! ^^

(later)

It was almost night-time and Knuckles took Amy up to Angel Island. They got a better view of Mobius and the sunset. Amy had her head on Knuckles' shoulder and she was holding onto her symbol necklace. Knuckles glanced over at Amy and blushed. Her eyes sparkled in the sun and her quills moved gracfully when the wind blew. He wanted to kiss her so badly. His heart pounded telling him to kiss her already. Same thing was happening to Amy too. When the sun was almost gone they looked at each other. They smiled and Knuckles started to lean in. Amy's eyes sparkled and she put one hand on his cheek. They were only an inch apart and their lips touched. Knuckles wrapped his arms around Amy and held her close and they kissed. Amy's ears went back. They kissed for 2 minutes then stopped for air. They both said the same thing to each other.

Knuckles and Amy: I love you........

   As they kissed again their symbol necklaces came together making a picture of them........................ together......
