Two Hearts Combine part 10

      Chapter 10: Face off


   (Knuckles P.O.V)

      I woke up earlier than Amy did, I got up carefully without waking Amy and put my gloves back on. I opened the window in her room and a breeze came in. The sun was shineing, and birds were chirping. I looked over at my sleeping Rose and smiled. I went out to the back and practiced my fighting so I can be ready for Sonic.


   (Amy P.O.V)

   I woke up to hear sounds coming from outside, I looked out my window and I saw Knuckles training outside. I don't know why he was so I went downstairs and opened the back door.

Amy: Knuckles? What are you doing?
Knuckles: Training.
Amy: For what?
Knuckles: To get back at Sonic for what he did.

   My eyes widdened a little to see Knuckles like this, really confident, and brave also. I watched him train for awhile and I never knew Knuckles had gotten much stronger, he made Sonic look like a kitten compared to him. I went upstairs and changed for the day and when I came back down I saw Knuckles waiting for me in the living room.

Knuckles: Amy your coming with me. I don't want to leave you here by yourself, I want you to come with me so I can keep an eye on you.
Amy: Um, okay then.

   Both me and Knuckles headed out and he started to look for Sonic. He kept looking until he found Sally, but no Sonic.

Knuckles: Hey Sally where's Sonic?
Sally: Oh he went to get some drinks for us.

  Everything turned bad for me because Sally gave me a mad look and stormed over to me.

Sally: How dare you break my Sonic's foot!

   After she yelled she slapped me.

Amy: Oh! You did not just slap me!

   And she slapped me again but harder.

Sally: Hmpt!
Amy: Thats it, its on now!!!

    Thats when I punched her, and we got into a cat fight. She blamed me for breaking Sonic's foot for no reason, I told her that he tried to beat me and what he said about her. She didn't believe me and we continued to clobber each other. She tried to keep my head under water but I grabbed her and threw her in it. Knuckles watched and he split us up and yelled at Sally. He told her that everything was actually true, and then he saw Sonic appear.

  (Knuckles P.O.V)

  I already split the girls up and now my attention went to Sonic. I tightened my fists and growled. He stood there and got in a fighting stance. I told Amy to get back and to stay behind me. Sonic charged at me with anger and he was a little fast but not faster then me. He threw punches and I did too but we both missed. I got him in the mouth and he got my stomach. Things started to get bad, I noticed while I was fighting Sonic, Sally left and Amy was watching us fight, I saw tears in her eyes. She was scared, I got distracted and Sonic hit me at my weak spot which was my chest. Pain took over my body and I fell to the ground, both of us were bleeding from our cuts, we got bruses and blood came down the side of both of our mouths. I tried to get up but Sonic kept me down with his not broken foot. I then saw tears starting to stream down Amy's muzzle. I told her I'll be okay, it didn't do much. Sonic got his foot off me and took a few steps back and got down to do his spin dash. I started to get up ready to punch him while he was spinning but he headed toward me before I could get up completely. The next sudden thing I heard was Amy yell my name, I saw her heading toward me.

(Amy P.O.V)

Amy: Knuckles!!!!!

I couldn't stand Knuckles' getting hurt, I ran with all my might and I got infront of him and spread my arms out. I closed my eyes ready to take the hit.

(Knuckles P.O.V)

  What I saw, made my eyes go wide. I saw Amy get hit in the stomach by Sonic's spindash. She got hit over me and she landed on the ground and rolled a bit and was not moving on the ground with her back against the ground. Her bangs covered her eyes and I saw the tears she had stop flowing.

Knuckles: AMY!!!!!

  I got up and ran to her, I ignored the pain and went to her side. I put one hand under her head and the other hand on her cheek. Her dress was torn and she had deep scratches on her stomach from Sonic's quills, they were bleeding. Her breatheing was heavy and I picked her up gently. I turned my head to Sonic with anger in my eyes and tears that started to form.

Knuckles: You don't even know how much she means to me....damn you Sonic.

I ran off leaving Sonic there hurt and stareing as I left with Amy. I got to Angel Island quickly and jumped high and far and landed gently and ran to the Master Emerald. I laid Amy down genlty in front of it, and I cleaned the blood. I wrapped up her cuts gently and I sat next to her. I was hopeing Amy would be okay from her injury until I saw the Master Emerald glow. Amy started to glow a bright green and then the glow stopped. I looked at her with concern and her eyes opened half way.

Amy: K-Knuckles what happened?

  She tried to sit up and her wound started to hurt.

Knuckles: Easy, easy, just rest, I don't want your injury to open again.
Amy: What happened to Sonic?
Knuckles: He's still on Mobius, you got hurt while I was fighting him. Why did you get in front of me when he was going to attack?
Amy: I couldn't stand seeing you get hurt, I had to.
Knuckles: I could've taken it.
Amy: Knuckles, please I don't want to see you get hurt, you mean too much to me, I don't want to lose you....
Knuckles: Hmmmm??
Amy: Its just that........I......I love you...

      I smiled and stroked her hair gently.

Knuckles: I already love you Amy.

(Amy's P.O.V)

   I blushed at Knuckles, he came closer to me and the sun started to set, my eyes were half closed and so were his. I put my hands on his cheeks and he had his hands in my hair. He leaned in closer and I closed my eyes. Our lips brushed lightly, then he pressed his lips on mine. I lowered my ears and blushed. I felt fireworks go off even though there weren't any. Knuckles put his hand on my back and I put my hand on his shoulder. We seperated and he breathed a little heavily, I looked into his eyes.

Amy: I love you......
Knuckles: I love you too...

   He kissed me again and after 3 minutes we seperated and it was night time and he laid next to me and I fell asleep in his arms.
